5-day PLA/Shadow Aide Training approved by the British Psychological Society.

We will be conducting a training course approved by the British Psychological Society and certified by Hils Learning for Personal Learning Assistant/Shadow Aide in March 2018.

Learning objectives:
1. Educate practitioners to develop a holistic understanding of the different learner by understanding the different aspects of child development. 
2. Equip shadow aide, learning and support team at school, educators, parents and caregivers of the different learner with a range of tools and strategies for them to learn effectively. 
3. Empower practitioners to develop their own creative tools and strategies to better support the different learner, by recognising their strengths and guide them to become a self-directed, independent learner.

Who should join this course:
1. Individuals who are currently working as shadow aides
2. Individuals who are interested in working as a shadow aide
3. Individuals who are keen to learn about special needs children

This course includes: 

• 20 hours of Training 
• Practical Assignments
• Student Observation
• Final Exam 

Pre-requisites:
1. At least a Diploma or Pre-U qualification is required
2. Proficiency in English
3. Related experience preferred.
4. Passionate about working with children who learn differently
5. Open to learning alternative methods for supporting the different learner
