Lego Based Therapy With Dr. Daniel LeGoff
About Dr. Daniel LeGoff, Pioneer of LEGO®-Based Therapy
Canadian-born licensed pediatric neuropsychologist and pioneer of LEGO®-Based Therapy, Dr. Daniel LeGoff, is currently a supervisor and consultant based in Pompano Beach, Florida. He is best known for his work on improving social development using collaborative LEGO® activities. He developed this model to meet the needs of a growing population of children and adolescents who had social learning difficulties, and who did not appear to be improving with standard forms of psychotherapy or behavioral interventions.
After publishing the initial studies on this method, Dr. LeGoff collaborated with colleagues in the US and UK to write a treatment manual, and since then this approach has been adopted in over 50 countries. He has written two books on LEGO®-based therapy: (i) LEGO®-Based Therapy: How to build social competence through LEGO®-based Clubs for children with autism and related conditions and (ii) How LEGO®-Based Therapy for Autism Works: Landing on My Planet
