A lot of children’s early learning is achieved through play. Play is simultaneously a source of stimulation for the brain and body, as well as a source of calmness and relaxation. Children find out about the world around them through touching, manipulating, exploring and experimenting. Children also learn how to solve problems, work cooperatively with others and acquire the appropriate social skills through play.

Despite the power of play in learning, as children get older, play is often exchanged for more mundane, adult-like academic work!

At Hils, we try to incorporate play into our teachings as much as possible- we really do believe that the best learning occurs when our children are having fun!
